Adrienned Pincus for WCC President

My WCC logo

Dear Members,

I am running for president because I believe it is time to bring back the club to its core mission of providing fun safe rides for ALL members of ALL skill levels.   My dedication is to the well being and enjoyment of the club and ALL its members.  I am interested in introducing new ideas that will benefit EVERYONE and I am willing to listen, encourage and support rides and other program meetings and events suggested by both new and long time members.

I have the experience.
I served as a Board member for three years. As Rides Leader, I introduced a formal Rides Leadership Training Program and I established a proven track record for increasing the number and attendance of rides at ALL levels.  As Programs Director, I introduced a record number of diverse topics and increased attendance at our monthly meetings.  On a more somber note, I also initiated, publicized, and organized support and participation in the Ride of Silence, a worldwide event promoting the awareness for motorists for the safety of those of us who share the roads with them.

I have the dedication.
As Rides-Chair, I successfully worked with the ride coordinators who are the backbone of our club and I will once again work with then to bring back a more balanced riding schedule with appeal for riders at ALL levels.  I will also bring back the Leadership Training Program.   I'd emphasize the importance of safety and first aid and strive to offer better communication between ride leaders and the membership.

I have the willingness.
I will communicate with you to find out your interest in the possibility of introducing pictogram symbols to define terrain difficulty at a glance and your interest in new advocacy programs which will benefit the entire Westchester cycling community.

I will also give my unequivocal support to all the established events we love like Mike Miller's fabulous Golden Apple Ride and John Milano's incredible special events created for the mutual enjoyment of all our riders.

My overall aim is to make the WCC the best, busiest and happiest bike club in the tri-state area.  With your support we can do this.

In a contested election, every vote counts.  Please vote for me by mailing in the ballot enclosed with your December newsletter, or in person on December 9th, at the club party.

Respectfully Yours,
Adrienne Pincus
